RALEIGH, NC – The William Peace University men's soccer team took an early lead against Maryville on Sunday, but the Scots turned it on in the second half to get past the Pacers, 4-1.

Dylan Shields for his fifth goal of the season to put WPU (5-8-2, 1-7-1 USAS) ahead eight minutes into the game, but Bret Thomas found the back of the net in the 33rd to tie thing up.
On the other side of the break, Caleb Lucas helped the Scots (12-2, 7-1 USAS) to a 3-1 lead with a pair of goals in the 55th and 59th minutes. Tim Baker added one more in the 87th.
The Pacers are back at WakeMed Soccer Park for one final home game this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. against Mid-Atlantic Christian before closing out the regular season at Averett two days later.
