BLUEFIELD, VA – The William Peace University men's soccer team opened the regular season against the Lancers of Grace College (IN) on Thursday, where they fell, 5-0, in Caleb Husmann's debut as the Pacers' head coach.

The Pacers allowed a goal less than a minute in and another five minutes later before pitching a shutout the rest of the half. Down several key players, WPU (0-1) couldn't keep up the final 30 minutes of the match, as Grace (2-2) scored in the 58^th, 71^st and 83^rd minutes.

WPU will be back in action this Saturday at 5:00 p.m. for their regular season home opener against Bob Jones University at WakeMed Soccer Park.
