Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

WPU Men's Soccer Downed at NC Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT, NC – The William Peace University Men's soccer team was back in action Saturday afternoon, traveling to take on the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan, where the Pacers fell, 3-0.

WPU (2-13, 2-6 USAS) trailed 2-0 by halftime. Caetano Veigas scored first for the Bishops in the 8th minute, heading Thorfinnsson's corner kick into the back of the net. Joe Storer followed with an unnassisted goal from 30 yards out in the 22nd minute.

The Pacers were forced to play a man down after they were hit with a red car in the 50th minute. NC Wesleyan (7-5-1, 5-1 USAS) went ahead by three a couple minutes later, as AJ Wadda beat a pair of defenders and put it away.

The WPU men's soccer team will be at WakeMed Soccer Park for their final four regular season games of the season, starting with Columbia International on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 p.m.
