Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

William Peace Men's Soccer Dropped by Huntingdon, 5-0

CARY, NC – After picking up their first conference win yesterday against LaGrange, the William Peace men's soccer team didn't fare as well today against Huntingdon. The Pacers fell, 5-0, dropping their record to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the USA South.

WPU had their chances matching the Hawks (2-4-3, 1-0-1 USAS) with 15 shots, 10 of which were on goal, but the Pacers essentially spotted Huntingdon a two goal lead to start the game and were never able to recover. Killian Delmore got things started five minutes into the game thanks in large part to a Pacers defensive miscue, and then Huntingdon scored a minute later as Miguel Medina found Bo Jenkins for the goal.

The Pacers ran out of gas in the second only managing four shots and letting three more in.

Rhett Williams scored in the 55th unassisted.  Elliot Webb scored in the 73rd with help from John Robert Lawrence. Jared Bodender put in the final goal of the game in the 83rd with the assistance of Sebastian Florez.

William Peace men's soccer will return to WakeMed Soccer Park against the Panthers of Ferrum College on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 5:00 p.m.
