Head Volleyball Coach Hannah Marshall 2024

Hannah Marshall

The William Peace volleyball team has made tremendous strides under third-year Head Coach Hannah Marshall.

The volleyball team is 59-40 overall under Marshall including a school record 27 wins in 2022, her first season. That year, the Pacers were 27-8 overall and 15-3 in the USA South Conference. They advanced to the USA South Conference finals in her first year after earning a No. 2 seed in the tournament.

In 2023, the Pacers were 14-16 overall playing a tough schedule but finished 11-7 in the USA South for their second consecutive winning conference mark. During her two years at WPU, Marshall has coached six all-conference players, one honorable mention all-conference player, three CSC Academic Volleyball All-District players and 36 USA South Academic All-Conference selections. The Pacers claimed their fifth straight AVCA National Academic Award for the 2023-24 school year.

In July, Marshall prepared for the 2024 season by coaching a national collegiate team in the Italy Volleyball Tour. The U.S. team spent 10 days in Italy and played four exhibition matches against high-level international competition.

In 2023, Marshall was a recipient of the AVCA 30 Under 30 Award given to up-and-coming coaches of all levels of volleyball. In addition to coaching the volleyball team, Marshall is the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Faculty Representative.

Prior to her time at WPU, Marshall previously served as Head Women's Volleyball Coach and Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach at Lincoln College. Marshall joined Lincoln College in 2020, where she coached the CCAC Libero of the Year and an AVCA All-Region Libero.

Before coming to Lincoln, Marshall served as a Volleyball Graduate Assistant Coach at Trinity International University. During her time at Trinity, she helped coach several First and Second Team All-CCAC players and a few NCCAA All-Region players.

As a collegian, Marshall was a talented outside hitter at Westminster College, winning SLIAC Player of the Year in 2015. A three-time first-team all-conference pick, Marshall is a member of the SLIAC All-Decade Team and holds numerous program records. A Wildwood, Mo., native, Marshall was very active on campus as a student. She served as the SAAC President and was a founding member of HAPEx (an organization for Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science majors). Marshall was also a Peer Health Educator and an athletic training intern.

Marshall graduated from Westminster with a B.A. in Exercise Science in 2018. She received a Master’s in Athletic Training from Trinity International University in 2020.
