Previous Coaching Experience
  • Clewis began his coaching career while he was still an undergraduate at Mt. Olive University at Spring Creek High School as he was named the Head Women's Varsity Soccer Coach in 2006. In March of 2007, Clewis was named the Interim Head Women's Soccer Coach at Mt. Olive.
  • From the Fall of 2008 to 2010, Clewis worked as the Fayettevile Soccer Club Technical Director of Camps and Clinics and also served as the Head Coach for the Girls U11-U18 teams. During this time, Clewis also served as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Mt. Olive from 2006-2010.
  • Clewis began working in Wilmington, NC as the Assistant Director of Player Development, Camp Director, Adult Representative, Head Coach for the Boys U12-U17 teams, and Head Coach for the Girls U17 team at the Cape Fear Soccer Club from 2011-2012. 
  • From May of 2012-2014, Clewis began coaching in Goldsboro, NC as he was named the Director of Coaching and the Head Coach of the 2000 Boy's Orange Team at the Wayne County United Soccer Club.
  • In 2012, Clewis would return to Mt. Olive as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach before being named the Head Women's Soccer Coach in 2015.
  • Clewis was also a Head Coach for the 00 Boys Premier team with the Fayetteville Soccer Club until 2018, and was previously a Head Coach with the North Carolina Olympic Development Program. He also previously coached both boys and girls at Neuse River Futbol Association and currently coaches at North Carolina Football Club.

  • In his free time, Coach Clewis enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Originally from Wilmington, NC, he now lives in Linden, NC with his wife Amber, two stepdaughters Kaley and Megan Jacobs, and son, Landon Clewis.
