Maya Houston enters her first season as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at William Peace University in 2026-27 after joining the Pacers with experience as both a collegiate player and coach.
A native of Gray, Tennessee, Houston played five seasons at NCAA Division II King University from 2017-21, appearing in 66 career matches and making 56 starts as a defender. A three-year team captain, she scored the game-winning goal against Francis Marion in 2021 after recording her first collegiate goal against Piedmont International during the 2019 season.
Following her playing career, Houston spent two seasons with the Tennessee High School girls soccer program, serving as a varsity assistant coach and head junior varsity coach. During her time with the program, Tennessee High captured conference and regional championships, while Houston helped develop several players who went on to compete at the NCAA Division I and Division II levels.
Houston earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish from King. She was a Dean's List student and earned Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll recognition during her collegiate career.
Prior to King, Houston attended University High School, where she served as a team captain and earned All-Conference, All-District and All-Region honors. She helped lead the program to conference and district championships and also competed at the club level with Tri-City United.
