Stephen Safran

Entering his seventh season on the coaching staff, Stephen became the first assistant coach hired in program history in 2013 and has served as a volunteer assistant coach since 2016. He assists with recruiting duties, player development.
 
Born and raised in Raleigh, Safran attended nearby Broughton High School where he was a standout baseball player and graduated in 1999. He accepted an opportunity to play baseball for Campbell University where he was a two-year letter winner. In addition to his collegiate playing experience, Safran has over seven years of combined coaching experience at the youth and high school level.
 
He graduated from Campbell University with a B.A. in History in 2003 and received his J.D. degree from the Campbell University School of Law in 2008. He is currently an attorney with Safran Law Offices, a Raleigh based law firm with a focus on construction and business litigation.
 
He and his wife Jackie have two children, Lucas and Sabrina.
