Coach Pfingst returns for his fourth year as Pitching Coach. Coach Pfingst assisted in leading the Pacers to a record setting season, as the Pacers were able to set the school record for wins, and conference wins. The Pacers were also able to earn their second conference tournament berth in a row during the 2018 season.
Coach Pfingst was previously an Assistant Coach at Rockingham Community College, and helped guide the pitching staff to the Region X Conference title game. The last two summers, Dylan has served as a coach during the National Team Identification Series, Task Force Scout for the National Team Identification Series, and Trials Coach for the Women's National Baseball team for USA Baseball. During the summer of 2017, Dylan was an Assistant Coach for the Holly Springs Salamanders in the Coastal Plains League. He was the Head Coach for the Deep River Muddogs in the Carolina-Virginia League in 2016, and the Assistant Director of Player Development for the High Point-Thomasville HiToms of the Coastal Plains League in 2015.
Pfingst spent his high school playing days at West Forsyth High School under hall of fame coach Randy Pope. From there, he went on to play his college baseball at Stanly Community College and Rockingham Community College, where he was a pitcher for both programs.
Pfingst is currently working on his degree at Liberty University and wants a dog that he can name Meatball.
