SAAC Faculty Advisor

Cameron Davis is entering her second year as the Faculty Advisor for the William Peace University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Davis previously served as a SAAC representative during her fifth year at Shepherd University before taking on her current role at William Peace.

As Faculty Advisor, Davis serves as a mentor and resource for Pacers student-athletes, facilitates communication between student-athletes and university administration, and assists with planning and executing SAAC initiatives and events.

During the summer of 2026, Davis attended The Hidden Opponent's Beyond the Playbook Seminar, which focused on providing coaches and athletic leaders with tools to better support student-athlete mental health and overall well-being.

The seminar featured presentations from Dr. Taghizadeh, Chair of the Clinical Advisory Board for The Hidden Opponent, as well as a panel discussion featuring local collegiate student-athletes and a licensed clinical mental health counselor.

The Hidden Opponent

Supporting Student-Athlete Mental Health

William Peace University SAAC partners with The Hidden Opponent (THO) to promote student-athlete mental health awareness and help create a culture in which seeking support is encouraged.

Through education, advocacy and campus programming, Peace's involvement with THO helps reduce the stigma surrounding mental health while connecting student-athletes with resources that support their overall well-being.
