CARY, N.C. - The William Peace women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Randolph College Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park, moving to 3-2-1 on the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Gabby Torri made nine saves in the first half as Randolph recorded 12 shots, keeping the match scoreless through the opening 45 minutes.
Peace put its first shot on goal in the 58th minute when Jaylyn Altizer tested Randolph goalkeeper Kacie Walker, who made the save.
Randolph broke through in the 67th minute on a goal from Holly Bermingham before Bailey Richardson added the Wildcats' second in the 77th minute.
Torri finished with 11 saves for the second straight match, bringing her total to 22 saves over her last two starts.
Peace finishes its four-game homestand with a 3-1 record and now heads to Virginia for two road matches. The Pacers travel to Hollins University on Monday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. before visiting Sweet Briar College on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m.
