ASHLAND, Va. - William Peace dropped a 5-1 decision to Randolph-Macon on February 25th at Banks Tennis Center in their Spring 2026 season opener.
The Yellow Jackets secured the doubles point, taking two of three matches. Benjamin Cuddington and Michael Zang earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, but Randolph-Macon claimed victories at No. 1 and No. 3 to take the early 1-0 lead.
Cuddington provided the lone point for the Pacers in singles play. Competing at No. 2, he earned a hard-fought three-set victory, 6-4, 7-6, 11-9.
Carlos Correa battled at No. 1 singles, forcing a third-set tiebreak before falling 4-6, 6-4, 10-3. Randolph-Macon captured the remaining singles matches to secure the team result.
Peace will turn its attention to its home opener on Saturday, February 28 against Bridgewater College.
