RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace women's basketball earned an exciting home victory on Wednesday night, defeating Pfeiffer 71-58 inside the Herman Student Center to continue its strong stretch in USA South play.
The Pacers controlled the tempo early and used a balanced offensive effort to build momentum across all four quarters. After holding a narrow lead at halftime, William Peace pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Falcons 21-10 to create enough separation to close it out.
Zikira Henderson led all scorers with 27 points, shooting efficiently from the floor and knocking down three three-pointers while going a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line. Ensley Perry followed with 17 points, adding timely baskets throughout the game.
Jess Worthey provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and eight rebounds, while Amiah Griffin and Alayna Randolph combined for 10 rebounds to help the Pacers control the glass. William Peace finished the night shooting 50 percent from the field and forced 16 Pfeiffer turnovers, converting them into 21 points.
With the win, the Pacers improve to 12-8Â overall and 9-4 in conference play.
William Peace returns to action on Saturday, February 7, hosting Southern Virginia at 2 p.m. inside the Herman Student Center.
