KINGSPORT, T.N. - The William Peace University Women's Swimming team earned third place overall at the Independent South Swimming Championships in Kingsport, T.N. this past weekend. 

Kaitlyn Kucera earned conference championship awards in the 200 IM and 200 Freestyle. Kucera also set school records in the 200 IM (both prelims and finals). The Women also set a school record in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. Cora Rebert set school records in both the 1000 and 1650 Freestyle.

The William Peace University Swim Coaching Staff also earned ISSC Coaching Staff of the Year.

- The team of Alesia Brack, Alexis Inman, Kaitlyn Kucera, and Sophia Monica placed third with a time of 2:01.22

500 Yard Freestyle: 
- Cora Rebert finished fourth with a finals time of 6:00.27 and a prelim time of 6:04.85

200 Yard IM:
- Kaitlyn Kucera finished first with a finals time of 2:17.48 and a prelim time of 2:18.19
 

50 Yard Freestyle: 
- Alexis Inman finished third with a final time of 25.61, and a prelim time of 25.60
- Sophia Monica finished fifth with a final time of 26.47 and a prelim time of 26.23
- Avery Bissette finished eighth with a final time of 27.81 and a prelim time of 28.83
- Mary Langer finished ninth with a final time of 32.19 and a prelim time of 33.62
- Elise Langer finished eleventh with a final time of 32.86 and a prelim time of 32.74
