RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace University has announced the hire of Donolique Tyrell as the new head coach for both the women's and men's tennis programs. A 2023 graduate of Peace, Tyrell returns to his alma mater after competing as a member of the men's basketball team and spending time as a member of the men's tennis tennis roster.

Tyrell appeared in 69 career basketball games for the Pacers and later transitioned to tennis, where he competed primarily at the No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles positions in 2023. In addition to his coaching role, Tyrell works in the Office of Admissions as the main point of contact for prospective students. His familiarity with Pacer athletics, student-athlete experience, and dedication to the growth of the department make him a natural fit to lead the program into its next chapter.

Tyrell will begin his role as the Pacers prepare for the upcoming spring season.
