Pacers Compete at Chowan Dual Meet

Murfreesboro, N.C. - William Peace swimming returned to action on Saturday at the Bynum Brown Aquatic Center, taking on Chowan University in a dual meet. The Hawks earned the team wins with final scores of 88-49 on the women's side and 99-69 for the men, with a combined score of 187-118.

The Pacers earned several first-place finishes throughout the meet:

Kaitlyn Kucera took first in the women's 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:23.28. Cormac Davis won the men's 100-meter backstroke in 1:07.45. Charlize DeLair picked up two firsts, winning the women's 200-meter butterfly (2:48.16) and 100-meter butterfly (1:13.26). AJ Newton won the men's 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:30.61. Davis added another first-place finish in the men's 200-meter backstroke (2:30.06).

William Peace will be back in the pool November 14-16 at the Keydet Invite hosted by Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va.
