WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The William Peace women's soccer team hit the road Saturday afternoon for a USA South match up against Salem College, where the Spirits came away with a 4-0 win.
Salem scored early in the fifth minute and extended its lead to 2-0 before halftime. The Pacers continued to battle on both ends of the field, led by senior goalkeeper Gaby Vazquez, who recorded seven saves on the day.
Mia Rumachil, Kerlyn Navarrete Trejos and Lyndsey Knox each put shots on frame for Peace.
The Pacers are on the road again in Fayetteville to take on Methodist University next Saturday, as they continue conference play.
