CARY, N.C. - The William Peace women's soccer team recognized three seniors, Gaby Vazquez, Lyndsey Knox, and Mia Rumachik, prior to kickoff on Senior Day at WakeMed Soccer Park. Despite a strong first half and a standout performance in goal, the Pacers ultimately fell 4-0 to Greensboro College on Saturday morning.
Peace held the Pride scoreless through the first 45 minutes behind senior captain Gaby Vazquez, who recorded seven first half saves to keep the match even at the break. Greensboro's offense broke through in the second half, finding the back of the net four times between the 60th and 76th minutes.
Vazquez finished the day with nine total saves, while Samantha Fore led the Pacers' attack with two of the team's three shots.
The Pacers will look to rebound as they continue the stretch of conference play next week.
