ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - William Peace Women's basketball could not stop the hot-shooting Bishops from N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Everett Gymnasium in Rocky Mount, NC.
The Bishops held the Pacers to a combined 12 points in the second and third quarters after scoring 12 in just the first quarter.
New additions Kaylan Logan Bouknight led the Pacers with 7 points, Danasia Wright with 5, and Jada Kent with 4. Zikira Henderson also put up 7 points, and Allye Woodruff followed with 6.
"Wesleyan is a tough team to play against." WPU Head Coach Annalee Bollinger said. "We felt their experience tonight on both ends of the floor. This was a reality check for us of how hard we have to compete in conference to win games down the stretch. But as always we learned a lot tonight and will grow from this. We will look to bounce back Tuesday."
The Pacers next contest will be back home in Raleigh to host Salem College in the Hermann Athletic Center on Tuesday, January 7th at 7 PM.
