Box Score

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Aside from a strong first half, the Pacers could not pull off the win this afternoon against the Bruins of Carolina University at Williams Gymnasium in Winston-Salem, N.C.

After some back and forth lead changes to start the game, William Peace held the lead for the last 13 minutes in the first half. They led by 6 at halftime, with a strong bench putting up 17 of their 39 points.

However, the Pacers were unable to finish strong and played down to the wire to take the road loss. With the score tied at 53, the Bruins pulled away and held onto the lead for the last 10 minutes of the game.

"We played well for about 34 minutes tonight" - WPU Head Coach Claude Shields said "but their big run in the 2nd half came back to bite us. First time being in that situation on the road so this will be a learning opportunity for us moving forward. Excited to turn the page for the start of conference play at home on Tuesday!"

11 different Pacers scored in the contest. Michael Dulin led with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Elijah Green contributed 8 points with 4 assists.

The Pacers will begin conference play as they host Greensboro College in the Hermann Athletic Center on Tuesday, January 7th.
