Men's Soccer Hosts Randolph Saturday

Jorge Lemus In Action Against Bridgewater
RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace will host Randolph on Saturday in the first game of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Game time is 12 p.m. and admission is free.

The Pacers' first three games have been against stout opponents and Randolph is no different. The Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 Sunday win over Greensboro to improve to 1-0-1.

The Pacers, 1-1-1 overall, have been in some early season battles. Their last match resulted in a 0-0 tie Wednesday against Bridgewater at WakeMed Soccer Park. Randolph will be the Pacers' fourth straight opponent from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).

The most recent time William Peace and Randolph faced each other was 2022. The Pacers came out on top 1-0 in Lynchburg, Va.

Leading the way for the Pacers is standout forward Jorge Lemus, the team leader in goals with two. Sophomore midfielder Gavin Beaupre and freshman defender Zach Marlier each have one goal this season.

Junior midfielder Ethan Gillette and freshman goalie Rafa Quevodo-Antunez are each credited with an assist and Quevodo-Antunez has five saves. Anelka Ngoy and Rhajee Scarlett lead Randolph with two goals after two contests.
