Crosstown Rivals WPU, Meredith Clash At Hermann Athletic Center Wednesday

RALEIGH, N.C. – A battle of USA South volleyball titans takes place Wednesday when William Peace hosts crosstown rival Meredith at the Hermann Athletic Center. Admission is free to the 7 p.m. contest with doors opening at 6 p.m.

A perennial contender under Head Coach Hannah Marshall, the Pacers (10-4 overall) currently lead the USA South standings at 3-0 after topping both Greensboro and Mary Baldwin in Greensboro, N.C. this past weekend. The Pacers are on a six-match winning streak.

Meredith (6-4 overall) is the defending conference champion and is picked to win it again this season. The Avenging Angels have already suffered their first conference loss, falling to Methodist at home in four sets last Saturday for a 1-1 conference mark.

The Pacers are looking to extend their two-match win streak at home against their crosstown rival. William Peace defeated Meredith in four sets in 2022 and three sets in 2023.

A balanced offensive attack has keyed the Pacers' win streak. Jordan Juanes ranks fifth (3.06) and Sarah Yates is 10^th (2.54) in kills per set in the USA South. Georgia Grace Anderson ranks fourth (.351) and Jordyn Chinigo is eighth (.296) in hitting percentage. Juanes is fifth (3.52) in points per set.
