Pacers Rout Warren Wilson 21-5 For Second Straight Men's Lacrosse Win

SWANNANOA, N.C. – William Peace won in men's lacrosse for the second straight day on Sunday.

Jamar Bell led a balanced scoring attack as the Pacers routed Warren Wilson 21-5 in a non-conference game. The two-game win streak is the first for the Pacers this season.

"I am happy with the team's effort and execution," Pacers Head Coach Mark Crisco said. "It's never easy playing two games in one weekend."

Bell scored a game-high seven goals and added an assist in addition to causing two turnovers for the Pacers, who outshot Warren Wilson 62-19. Bell topped his previous best of six goals in a win over Brevard on Saturday for a total of 13 in two games this weekend. He led seven Pacers who scored against the Owls.

Caleb Trahan added five goals and two assists and William English contributed three goals and three assists for the Pacers. Brandon Goad had three goals and two assists and Aidan McNeely, Zack McConnell, and Zachary Fields each scored a goal. Adam Harvey recorded an assist.

Defensively, Noah Belote caused three turnovers and goalkeeper Dylan Sullivan had six saves on 11 goal attempts for the win. The Pacers held a 23-6 faceoff advantage and picked up 31 ground balls to nine for the Owls.

The Pacers took control from the outset, leading 8-1 after the first quarter and 13-3 at halftime. They added eight goals in the third quarter for a 21-5 lead.

The Pacers play again on the road against USA South opponent LaGrange on Saturday, April 13, in LaGrange, Ga. The contest starts at 1 p.m.
