Price, Straughn Win Again Against Brevard In Women's Tennis; Pacers Lose Non-Conference Match 5-4

BREVARD, N.C. – Kala Price and Camryn Straughn won in singles and doubles for the second straight day, but it wasn't enough as William Peace fell short 5-4 to Brevard in women's tennis Sunday.

This was the second match against Brevard in two days. Saturday's 6-3 loss to Brevard counted as a USA South Conference match while Sunday's meeting was a non-conference affair. 

The Pacers lost by default in No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles which impacted the result.

Price and Straugh led the Pacers to three wins in singles. Price took No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2 and Straughn won No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-4. Jasseli Gutierrez was the winner in No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-1.

Price and Straughn teamed up to win No. 1 doubles 8-6.

The Pacers return home Wednesday, March 27, against Salem in a USA South match at Lions Park. The start time is 2 p.m.
