Price, Straughn Pick Up Wins; Pacers Fall To Brevard In Women's Tennis

Camryn Straughn Won No. 2 Singles and No. 1 Doubles
Box Score BREVARD, N.C. – Kala Price and Camryn Straughn each won their singles matches and also teamed up to win doubles for William Peace in a 6-3 USA South women's tennis loss to Brevard on Saturday.

Price, who was named USA South women's tennis rookie of the week, was victorious 6-1, 6-3 in No. 1 singles. Straughn was the No. 2 singles winner, posting a 6-2, 7-5 victory. The duo paired together to capture No. 1 doubles in an 8-7 thriller.

"Great wins for Camryn and Kala," Pacers Head Coach Michelle Jones said. "Last year, Camryn and her partner lost in a tiebreak in doubles. Camryn got revenge this year with a doubles tiebreak win this time."

The Pacers play Brevard again, this time in a non-conference match, on Sunday, March 24, at 10 a.m.
