Blount Places Among Top Six In Two Events At USA South Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sharif Blount of William Peace finished among the top six runners in two events at the USA South Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the JDL Fast Track on Friday.

Blount placed fourth in the men's 800-meter run in 2:01.75. He made his debut in the men's one-mile run, finishing sixth in a school-record time of 4:52.62.

In other highlights, Amir Hutchinson set a personal record in men's long jump with a mark of 4.78 meters. Solomon Womble won Heat 5 and Lemuel Scott won Heat 6 in the men's 200-meter dash.
