WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- William Peace University Men's and Women's Track & Field opened their indoor season at the COROS Collegiate Challenge at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC. The Pacers had several top ten finishers, including a 9th place finish for freshman
Sharif Blount in the Men's 1000m and a 4th place finish for the Men's 4x800 Relay, featuring
Sharif Blount,
Daniel Steele,
Miles Soza, and
Sean Todd.Â
The Pacers also set several new school records.
Majesty Smith broke her own record in the weight throw at 10.88m.
Sharif Blount set a new record in the 1000m with a time of 2:54.17, while
Sean Todd moved into second behind him with a time of 2:55.87. The 4x800m men's relay set a new record with 8:59.88 with
Sharif Blount,
Miles Soza,
Daniel Steele, and
Sean Todd.
Milton Prince moved into second on the school record list in the 60m, while at the 600m
Isaiah Costner set a new record with a time of 1:34.42.
The Pacers will continue their indoor season on February 5th as they head to Virginia Wesleyan University.
