The Pacers enter the matchup 3-4 in the USA South and 5-5-2 overall after Thursday's 3-1 defeat to Brevard. They had won three of their last four games, including two in a row, before the loss at Brevard.

Currently seventh in the standings, William Peace would be one of eight teams advancing to the USA South Tournament if the season ended today.

Methodist is tied for third in the league standings. The Monarchs are 5-2 in the conference and 6-7 overall.
