FAYETTEVILLE, NC -- William Peace University men's lacrosse fell in their conference opener to Methodist University by a score of 15-6.

KEY POINTS
- The Monarchs would get out to an early 2-0 lead just a few minutes in to the first period. A goal from Gregory Liebman would cut the score to 2-1, with a goal from Riely Murray tying it 2-2. The Monarchs would add a late goal to go up 3-2 heading into the 2nd.
- Methodist would make a strong push in the 2nd period both offensively and defensively, scoring on the man-up to go up 4-2 less than a minute in. Brewer Warlick would cut the score to 4-3 (assisted by Riely Murray), but the Monarchs' would add three in a row for a 7-3 lead. Devin Noonan, assisted by Max Hollingsworth, would close the gap to 7-4, but two goals from Methodist's Hunter Vaughan late in the period would give them a 9-4 lead at the half.
- Methodist would only allow two goals in the 2nd half for the Pacers, one from Brewer Warlick in the 3rd, and one from Gregory Liebman in the final minutes, while adding six goals of their own to take a 15-6 win over the Pacers.
