HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons would get out to a dominant lead in the first half, taking an 25-5 lead over the Pacers. A layup from Shawn Jones and a jumper from Malachi Borders would cut the lead to 25-9. Layups from Timothy Pettiford and Beau Bryant as well as a free throw from Pettiford would put the Pacers on a strong run as they trailed 29-17. A three-pointer from Michael Dulin, two layups from Pettiford, and a layup from Dulin would chip away at the lead to bring the Pacers within 6 as they trailed 34-28. A layup from Borders and a shot from behind the arc from Dulin would bring them within 1 with a score of 36-35. A late three from the Falcons would keep them ahead 41-37 at the half.
- The second half would go back-and-forth, with a few free throws from Dulin and Bryant putting the Pacers ahead 51-46. The Falcons would rally to regain a 53-51 lead, but a layup from Tyler Parton would put the Pacers ahead 56-55. A jumper and layup from Bryant would keep WPU up by just 1 as they led 64-63. Dulin would add another 3, with a layup from Bryant giving the Pacers a 70-65 advantage. The Falcons would make a final push, but the Pacers would take advantage of their final shots from the foul line to secure a 79-77 win.
