Pacers Place Five On All-Conference Soccer Team

RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University landed five players on the USA South All-Conference Team.

Jorge Lemus and Gavin Beaupre were first-team selections. Joey Hurley and Kwame Semackor made the second team and Josiah Caronna was an All-Sportsmanship honoree.

All five players helped William Peace finish third in the conference standings. The Pacers (10-5-3 overall) reached the USA South Tournament semifinals.

Lemus also earned All-Region VI honors for the third straight year. He had another stellar season with 10 goals, including three game-winners, and four assists. The senior forward scored 37 career goals which tied the school record.

Lemus ranked third in goal average, third in shots per game and second in shots on goal per game in the conference. He was fourth in points per game, fifth in game-winning goals per game and 10^th in assists per game.

Beaupre, a freshman midfielder, finished fourth in assists per game in the USA South. Hurley, a freshman defender, tied for fourth on the team in goals. He was second in shooting percentage and third in shots on goal percentage for the Pacers.

The trio of Hurley and fellow defenders Semackor and Caronna led a defense that was third in the conference in goals allowed per game. Semackor is a sophomore and Caronna is a senior.
