GREENSBORO, N.C. - William Peace shot a season-low 23.3 percent in a 64-33 men's basketball loss to nationally-ranked Guilford in the Guilford Invitational at Ragan-Brown Field House on Saturday.
The loss dropped the Pacers to 5-6 overall in their final non-conference game before entering USA South play in January. Guilford, ranked third in the nation, improved to 11-1 overall in the second meeting between both teams this season.
The Pacers shot 21 percent in the first half as they fell behind 33-15 at halftime. The Quakers, who shot 40.7 percent for the game, built on their lead in the second half.
Michael Dulin scored eight points while
Beau Bryant and
Shawn Jones added six points each for the Pacers. Tyler Dearman scored 13 points for Guilford.
The Pacers begin conference play on the road against Methodist on Jan. 3. The contest starts at 6 p.m. in Fayetteville, N.C.
