RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Men's Soccer team (#3) defeated Southern Virginia University (#6) 3-0 in the first round of the conference tournament. The Pacers faced the Knights Tuesday, October 31st in Cary, NC at the WakeMed Soccer Park. The Pacers had home field advantage as they were the higher seed. The Pacers now advance to the Semifinals of the conference tournament against North Carolina Wesleyan (#2).

• Jorge Lemus scored the first goal for the Pacers early in the game at 9.34.

• Abdul Qurneh scored the second goal against the Knights at 13.57 and was assisted by Jorge Lemus.

• The third goal was scored at 27.24 by Jorge Lemus who was assisted by Ethan Gillette.

The Pacers will head into the Semifinals of the conference tournament Thursday, November 2nd. They will be traveling to North Carolina Wesleyan to face the Battling Bishops for the conference Semifinal at 3p.
