Volleyball Beats Mary Baldwin on Senior Day


RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University Volleyball team defeated Mary Baldwin University 3-0 in conference play Saturday, October 28th on Senior Day. The William Peace Volleyball team celebrated six seniors who have contributed immensely to the success of the WPU volleyball program- Kelsey Bierbauer, Hannah Collier, Hannah Ward, Jayla Durham, Landis Limon and Keslee Hylton.

  • The Pacers won the first set 25-8 as the Fighting Squirrels were having a hard time competing against the Pacers. 

  • The Pacers would take the second set 25-22. However, the Fighting Squirrels would make this a closer set as they performed better against the Pacers. 

  • Finally, the Pacers would defeat the Fighting Squirrels in the third set winning 25-17.

  • Megan Andrews and Brooklynn Prince collected 6 kills against the Pacers. 

  • Soleil Rios Rolan tallied 3 aces for the Fighting Squirrels. 

  • Josie Sheets collected 13 assists against the Pacers. 

NEXT GAME

 

The Pacers will host Pfeiffer University Tuesday, October 31st at 6:00PM in Raleigh, NC at the Hermann Athletic Center. This conference match-up will be the last home regular season game for the Pacers as they will be traveling to Brevard November 3rd for their last conference match-up of the season for regular season play.
