FAYETTEVILLE, NC -- William Peace University men's basketball picked up their 5th conference win with a 68-62 win over Methodist.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pacers would get out to a 6-2 lead early with a layup from Timothy Pettiford and a 3-pointer from Malachi Borders. A jumper from Pettiford and a shot from behind the arc from Tyler Parton would put them up 15-9. The Monarchs would rally to briefly take an 18-17 lead before a 3 from Michael Dulin and a layup from Borders would regain a 22-18 lead. Parton would add another 3 with Beau Bryant adding a free throw for a 29-22 lead, with another 3-pointer from Parton sending the Pacers into halftime with a 32-27 lead.
- The Monarchs would push early in the 2nd half to take a 39-37 lead. A shot from behind the arc and a jumper from Parton would put the Pacers back in the lead by a score of 42-39. A layup from Shawn Jones and a few 3's from Bryant and Parton would increase their lead to 53-46. The Monarchs would again rally to take a 57-56 lead, but a few free throws from Bryant and Parton would put the Pacers back up 66-57. A few final free throws from Parton and Pettiford would help the Pacers secure a 68-62 win.
