BREVARD, NC -- William Peace University volleyball went 2-0 on the day as they improved to 3-0 in the USA South Conference, defeating Brevard College 3-0 and Southern Virginia University 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One - Brevard
Set One (25-18)
The Pacers would take a 3-0 lead in the first set before a run by Brevard would put the Tornados up 6-4. A 4-point run with kills from Shelby Cooper, Georgia Grace Anderson, and Kelsey Bierbauer would put the Pacers up 9-8. Kills from Bierbauer and Landis Limon would increase the lead to 18-13, with a final kill from Jordan Juanes ending the set 25-18.
Set Two (25-20)
The second set would be tied 9-9 early, but a run from the Pacers with kills from Shelby Cooper, Landis Limon, and Jordan Juanes would put them up 13-10. A few consecutive kills from Bierbauer would bring the score to 17-13, with a final 4-point run from the Pacers ending the set 25-20.
Set Three (25-9)
The Pacers would dominate the final set, taking an early 7-2 lead. A 5-point run with kills from Georgia Grace Anderson and Mackenzie Russell would put them up 12-3. A final 7-point run with kills from Shelby Cooper and aces from Jordan Juanes would end the set 25-9 and the game 3-0.
Game Two - SVU
Set One (25-16)
In the first set, the Pacers would take an early 4-2 lead, with a kill from Kelsey Bierbauer putting the team up 7-4. The Knights would take a brief 13-11 lead before kills from Shelby Cooper would regain a 16-14 Pacer lead. A big 5-point run with kills from Cooper and Georgia Grace Anderson would end the set 25-16 for the Pacers.
Set Two (22-25)
The Knights would battle in the second set, taking an early 12-9 lead. A kill from Landis Limon would tie it 12-12, but a big 5-point run would put SVU up 22-18. The Pacers would battle but SVU would take the set 25-22 to tie the match 1-1.
Set Three (25-12)
The Pacers would control the third set, taking a 9-2 lead on a few aces from Logan Moore. A 5-point run with kills from Georgia Grace Anderson would put them up 16-4. Kills from Landis Limon and Kelsey Bierbauer would increase the lead to 22-6, with two final kills from Shelby Cooper ending the set 25-12 for the Pacers.
Set Four (26-24)
The final set would be a battle as it would be tied early 7-7. A strong run from the Pacers with kills from Jordan Juanes would put them up 12-9, but the Knights would battle back to lead 15-14. SVU would go on a run to lead 22-18, but a big run from the Pacers with kills from Kelsey Bierbauer, Shelby Cooper, and Georgia Grace Anderson would tie it up 23-23. A final kill from Landis Limon would end the set 26-24 and the game 3-1.
