Men's Lacrosse Takes Down Cougars To Improve To 3-1 In Conference

DANVILLE, VA - William Peace University men's lacrosse took down Averett University by a score of 17-5. The Pacers now improve to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would take a dominant 5-0 lead in the first period, with goals from Nick Falso (2), Devin Noonan, William Murray, and Brewer Warlick. Daniel Ando would make some strong saves in net to keep the Cougars off the board.

In the 2nd, Averett would cut the lead to 5-1 with a goal from Connor Taff. Drew Von Werne would increase the Pacer lead just minutes late to 6-1, with Taff responding to bring the score to 6-2. Riely Murray and Brewer Warlick would each find the back of the net, sending the Pacers into halftime leading 8-2.

In the 3rd, Tyler Moodie would cut the Pacer lead to 8-3 early in. William Murray would respond to put the Pacers up 9-3, assisted by Devin Noonan. Nick Falso would find Brewer Warlick, who would put it away for a 10-3 lead. Falso would then find Devin Noonan for a goal, bringing the score to 11-3. The Cougars would score two late goals in the third to cut the Pacer lead to 11-5.

The Pacers would dominate in the final period as they shut down the Cougars. Nick Falso would score early to bring the score to 12-5. Brewer Warlick would add his 4th of the game, assisted by Riely Murray, for a 13-5 lead. William Murray would find Nick Falso, bringing the score to 14-5, while Riely Murray would add another to put the score at 15-5. Charlie Beam would tally two consecutive goals late, securing a 17-5 Pacer win.
