Women's Lacrosse Completes Season With Conference Win Over Greensboro

GREENSBORO, NC – William Peace University women's lacrosse defeated Greensboro College 12-7 to wrap up their season. The Pacers finish the year 2-12 overall and 1-9 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would get out to an early 2-0 lead with two goals from Madison Bradley. Greensboro would tie it 2-2 near the end of the first quarter.

Jennifer Hutchingson would put the Pacers up 3-2 at the start of the 2nd. A goal from the Pride would tie it 3-3, but goals from Brittany Wortman and Madison Bradley would send the Pacers into halftime leading 5-3.

The Pacers would dominate the 3rd, with Madison Bradley adding 2 goals and an assist, while Samantha Autry and Sarah Gonzalez each tallied one goal. The Pacers would hold the Pride to just one goal, taking a 9-4 lead heading into the 4th.

The Pride would add an early goal in the 4th as they trailed 9-5, but goals from Brittany Wortman and Madison Bradley would put the Pacers up 11-5. The Pride would score on a man-up opportunity, adding another goal late in the 4th as they trailed 11-7. A late goal from Mary Langer would secure the 12-7 win for the Pacers.
