Men's Lacrosse Improves To 2-1 In Conference With Win Over LaGrange

CARY, NC - William Peace University men's lacrosse defeated LaGrange College by a score of 16-12. Devin Noonan tallied 5 goals and 1 assist, while Daniel Ando made 10 saves in net. The Pacers now improve to 2-1 in USA South Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would tally the first two goals of the game, with both Nick Falso and Devin Noonan finding the back of the net. The Panthers would tie it 2-2 late in the 1st, with the game heading into the 2nd tied 2-2.

The Panthers would take a brief 3-2 lead in the 2nd, but goals from Brewer Warlick, Tristan Carter, Devin Noonan, and Drew Von Werne would put the Pacers up 6-3. Devin Noonan would score on the man-up to send the Pacers into halftime with a 7-4 lead.

The Panthers would cut the Pacer lead to 7-6 early in the third before goals from Devin Noonan and Brewer Warlick would bring the score to 9-6. Riely Murray would score two consecutive goals, one on the man-up, to put the Pacers ahead 11-6. Drew Von Werne and Devin Noonan would each tally another goal, sending the Pacers into the 4th leading 13-8.

The Panthers would attempt a rally early in the 4th, scoring three consecutive goals as they trailed 13-11. Nick Falso would respond for the Pacers, notching 2 consecutive goals to put WPU up 15-11. Riely Murray would add one final goal to secure a 16-12 victory for the Pacers.
