Baseball Drops Contest To Pfeiffer

CARY, NC – William Peace University baseball split a doubleheader matchup with Pfeiffer. The Pacers fell in game one 5-3 but came back to win game two 16-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons would get out to an early 3-0 lead at the top of the second on a single from C. Lackey and a double from Z. Ferrell. Cameron Butler would help drive in Brett Kemp in the bottom of the 4th as the Pacers trailed 3-1. A home run at the top of the 5th from B. Marsh would put the Falcons up 4-1, while a 3-RBI home run from B. Parker at the top of the 7th would give them a 7-1 edge. A sacrifice fly from Logan Barbour would score Cameron Butler in the bottom of the 7th to cut the lead to 8-2. The Falcons would get the bats going at the top of the 8th, bringing in 9 runs to take a 16-2 lead over the Pacers. They would hold the Pacers off for the rest of the game to take a 16-2 win.
