Bradley Scores Five As Lions Defeat Pacers

DEMOREST, GA – William Peace University women's lacrosse fell to Piedmont College by a score of 21-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Madison Bradley would get the Pacers on the board first with a goal just two minutes in for a 1-0 lead in the first period. The Lions would respond with 3 back-to-back goals to lead 3-1. Bradley would add two consecutive goals less than a minute apart to tie the game 3-3, but the Lions would battle to score four in a row and take a 7-3 lead. Bradley would add her fourth goal with 1:33 remaining in the first period to bring the score to 7-4. In the second period, the Lions would control the early game to tally four goals and lead 11-4. Madison Bradley would add another to cut the Lions' lead to 11-5, but they would add three more to lead 14-5 heading into halftime. Goalkeeper Aryal Brandon would make several good saves for the Pacers throughout the remainder of the game, but Piedmont goalies Kellianne Schlosser and Rachel Verner would tally 7 combined saves to shut down the Pacers for the remainder of the game as the Lions added 7 goals in the second half for a 21-5 win.
