BREVARD, NC-- William Peace University women's soccer fell to Brevard College by a score of 2-1. The Pacers will now head into the USA South Conference Tournament as the #4 seed, hosting Greensboro College on November 1st with a time TBD. The team wraps up the regular season with 11 wins, setting a new program record for most wins in a single season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half would be a back-and-forth battle for possession as neither team would be able to get any offense going. Neither goalie would be tested until 43:16, when Abby Mayer would put up a shot up on
Makenzie Jones, who would collect it to send the game into halftime still scoreless. In the second half, both teams would begin to increase the pressure. The Tornados would get on the board first at 62:40 as Tae Brown would play it through the middle to Taylor Richardson, who would put it away for a 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Richardson would tally her second on a breakaway chance to bring the score to 2-0.
Victoria Finklea would cut the Brevard lead to 2-1 as she would find the back of the net at 76:19, but the Pacers would not get another scoring opportunity and would fall 2-1.
