RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer fell 2-0 to Randolph College. The Pacers put up a strong first half, with both teams contributing multiple opportunities, but a strong second half from the Wildcats would secure them the win over the Pacers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half would begin with the Pacers putting up 5 early shots, 3 of which would be snagged by goalkeeper Alexis Bossi, in the first 9 minutes of play. Dayna Kenworthy would have two excellent opportunities but Bossi would make a few key saves to keep the game scoreless. Pacer goalkeeper Abigail Schaudi would then be challenged by Sara Bane and Ella Myers, but she would stay strong in net to send the game into halftime still scoreless.

Schaudi would continue to make key saves in the second half as the Wildcats gained some momentum and controlled possession early. Ella Myers would eventually find a way past the Pacer goalkeeper at 64:07 to put Randolph on top 1-0. Two minutes later, Taylor Batty would score on a cross from Marisa Santacroce to give the Wildcats a 2-0 edge. The Pacers were unable to convert despite a few good chances, and would fall to Randolph 2-0.

• Abigail Schaudi made seven saves for the Pacers.

• Ella Myers and Taylor Batty each scored for the Wildcats, with Marisa Sanacroce adding an assist.
