Women's Soccer Ends In Draw Against Brevard

RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer tied with Brevard College 0-0. The game would be a back-and-forth battle for possession, with neither team able to find the back of the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half would prove to be a battle for possession. Rachel Alford would put the first shot up for the Pacers, but it would go high. At 15:50, Gabrielle Jones would get the first scoring opportunity, but her shot would be saved by Rebeccah Rojas. Neither team would get another scoring opportunity in the first half, sending the game into halftime still scoreless.

In the second half, Aliyah Vaughan would get the Tornados' only scoring chance, but her shot would be scooped up by Pacer goalkeeper Makenzie Jones. The game would continue to be combative, with both teams picking up several fouls. Raine Greene would get an opportunity at 89:47, but Rojas would make a final save to end the game scoreless.
