RALEIGH, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer fell 1-0 in a tightly contested matchup against Guilford College. Pacer goalkeeper Abigail Mosteller would make several key saves to keep the game close, with the Pacer offense putting up several great opportunities.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half would be a back-and-forth matchup as both teams battled for possession. Pacer goalkeeper Abigail Mosteller would make two strong saves early in the half to keep it scoreless. Gabrielle Jones would get the first chance for the Pacers, as her shot at 14:30 would be collected by Quaker goalkeeper Ady Franken. Raine Greene would challenge Franken with a great opportunity at 40:52, but Franken would keep her off the board as the game headed into overtime tied 0-0.

The second half would see the Quakers gaining some momentum, as Crystal Rivas put several shots on net early on. Her shot at 65:03 would find the back of the net to give Guilford a 1-0 lead. Dayna Kenworthy would have an excellent chance at 77:29, but Franken would continue to be strong for the Quakers to keep them in the lead. The Quakers would manage to keep the Pacers off the scoreboard to secure a 1-0 win.
