Ashland, VA -- William Peace University baseball fell to #12 Randolph-Macon College by a score of 11-3. The Pacers would jump out to an early 3-0 lead but the Yellow Jackets would use a four run fifth inning and a five run sixth inning to propel their comeback win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st through 4th - The first inning of the game would see the Pacers jump out to an early lead as Tyshawn Barrett brought home Gavin Taylor with a sac fly to right field.. The Yellow Jackets would respond in the bottom of the first inning and tie the game at one as an RBI single would bring home Brooks Mazey. The Pacers would retake the lead in the third inning as a two RBI triple from Sean Roseborough would score Nathan Holt and Tyler Vaughn bringing the score to 3-1. That would remain the score of the game headed into the fifth inning.Â
5th through 9th - The Yellow Jackets would come to life in the fifth inning as they would put four runs on the board thanks in part to an RBI single and a three run homerun would give the Yellow Jackets a 3-5 lead. Randolph-Macon's bats would stay hot in the top of the sixth as they brought five runs home. Kevin Mooney would cap off the sixth inning with a two RBI triple making the score 3-10. An insurance run for the Yellow Jackets in the Bottom of the eighth from a solo shot to left field by Reece Yeargain would all but seal the game for Yellow Jackets as they took home a 11-3 victory over the Pacers.
