Pacers Fall To Marymount

Raleigh, NC -- The Pacers fell to Marymount University in a non conference matchup by a score of 23-9. Pacer goalkeeper Kuleul Moore put up 14 saves in net, with Riely Murray tallying 4 goals for the Pacers against the rolling Marymount team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the first quarter, the Pacers took an early 2-1 lead over the Saints with goals from Finn McGrady and Riely Murray. Marymount responded with 8 unanswered goals until Riely Murray tallied his second goal of the game to end the scoring run by the Saints. The Saints finished the quarter with two more goals to go up 11-3 over the Pacers.
  • In the second quarter, the Pacer offense would be led by Finn McGrady and Riely Murray with a goal from each to finish the half for the Pacers. Kuleul Moore tallied 10 saves for the Pacers in the first half, but the offense of the Marymount Saints proved to overwhelm the Pacer defense.
  • The Pacer defense held the Saints to four goals in the third quarter. Finn McGrady and Devin Noonan added one goal each for the Pacers to put the score at 20-7 at the end of the third quarter.
  • Brewer Warlick and Riely added two goals to the Pacer effort in the final minutes of the game. Although the Pacer would hold the Saints to three goals in the fourth and final quarter, the Pacer offense could not battle back. The Pacers would lose 23-9 to the Marymount Saints.

  • Riely Murray tallied 4 goals and 1 assist for 5 total points for the Pacer offense.
  • Finn McGrady added 3 goals to the Pacer effort.
  • Scout Phillip and Patrick Calhoun combined for 10 ground balls for the Pacers. Calhoun also notched 3 caused turnovers to lead the Pacer defense.
FOR THE FOES
  • Jonah Mackiewicz led the Saints with 5 goals.
  • Clark Akers and Jack Williams both had 3 goals each as well as 2 assists each.
