Women's Soccer Draws With Falcons

MISENHEIMER, NC -- William Peace University women's soccer tied 1-1 with Pfeiffer University. Raine Greene added the lone goal for the Pacers as Makenzie Jones tallied several good saves in net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would get on the board early in the first half, as a cross from Baylee Womack would find Raine Greene, who would put the Pacers up 1-0 at 7:03. Makenzie Jones would make a few good saves in net, but the Falcons would keep up the pressure to tie the game 1-1 with a goal from Tracy Torrez at 11:36. The first half would be a physical battle in the midfield as both teams had several good opportunities, but Jones and Pfeiffer goalkeeper Levy would stand strong to send the game into halftime tied 1-1.

In the second half, Baylee Womack would get an early chance at 47:15, but Levy would keep her off the scoreboard. Makenzie Jones would keep the Pacers in the game with several key saves as the Falcons battled for possession. Neither team would get much going at the end of the half, and the game would go into overtime tied 1-1.

In the first overtime period, neither team would get a shot on goal, forcing the game into a second overtime. The second overtime would be more dynamic, with Makenzie Jones making 2 saves and Britney Levy making one to end the game in a 1-1 draw.
