Pacers Improve To 10-2 In Conference With Win Over Falcons

MISENHEIMER, NC -- William Peace University volleyball defeated Pfeiffer University 3-1. The Pacers now improve to 15-10 overall and 10-2 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set One (25-16)
The Pacers would take control early in set one, with a service ace from Emerson Scollo putting them up 4-2. A kill by Landis Limon would give them a 9-7 lead, while a kill from Kelsey Bierbauer would bring the score to 14-11. Limon would add two more consecutive kills to increase the Pacer lead to 18-15. The Pacers would go on an impressive 7-point run, with kills from Shelby Cooper and Kelsey Bierbauer and a service ace from Emerson Scollo to wrap up the set 25-16.

Set Two (21-25)
The Falcons would battle back in set two, leading 6-4 early. A service ace from Shelby Cooper would put the Pacers ahead 7-6, but the Falcons quickly tie it. A 4-point run by the Falcons would put them ahead 16-15. A kill by Hannah Collier would put the Pacers within one as they trailed 20-19, but a late run by Pfeiffer would give them set two 25-21 to even the game 1-1.

Set Three (25-12)
The Pacers would dominate in set three, with a block from Hannah Collier and Landis Limon putting them ahead 5-1. A three-point run would bring the score to 10-5, with a kill from Georgia Grace Anderson keeping WPU ahead 11-6. A 5-point run with kills by Hannah Collier and Kelsey Bierbauer would give the Pacers a 17-8 lead. Another quick run with a kill from Shelby Cooper and a service ace would increase the Pacer lead to 22-11, with a final ace from Hannah Ward securing the set 25-12 and giving the Pacers a 2-1 lead in the match.

Set Four (25-21)
In the final set, a kill from Shelby Cooper would put the Pacers up 5-4 as the Falcons battled back. A service ace from Hannah Ward would give the Pacers a 10-8 lead, but the Falcons would go on a 3-point run to lead 13-12. A kill from Shelby Cooper would tie it 16-16. A final six-point run with kills from Hannah Collier, Landis Limon, and Shelby Cooper would finish the set 25-21 for the Pacers to take a 3-1 win over the Falcons.
