HOW IT HAPPENED
2nd - Landon Fish would get things started at the top of the second with a triple to right center and would score a few minutes later after a hit by Ben Chajet (1-0).
4th - Daniel Lilja's single at the top of the fourth would bring in another run as the Bulldogs led (2-0). Lilja would cross home plate after Ben Chajet's grounder to give the Bulldogs a (3-0) advantage. In the bottom of the inning, the Pacers would respond as
Hunter Ward's sacrifice fly would score Tyshawn Barret (3-1). The Bulldogs would walk in a run (3-2), while
Alec Seaton and
Tate Proctor would come home after a hit from
Jake Norris to give the Pacers their first lead of the game (4-3).
5th - The Pacers continued to gain momentum as
Logan Barbour's double would bring home another two runs (6-3).
6th - Ben Chajet would continue to be hot at the plate as his single to left center would score two runs (6-5). The Bulldogs would tie everything up (6-6) as they scored on a wild pitch before taking a (7-6) lead on a walked-in run. They would add one more (8-6) before the Pacers could respond in the bottom of the inning.
Gavin Taylor's bunt would allow
Jackson May to cross home plate (8-7). A bizarre play would allow
Jake Norris to come home and tie it up (8-8) while
Hunter Ward's single would regain the Pacer lead (9-8).
7th -
Jackson May would score on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh (10-8), while
Gavin Wheeler's sacrifice fly would bring home
Jake Norris to give WPU an (11-8) advantage.
Hunter Ward's would drive one to center field for a triple to score
Tyshawn Barrett (12-8).
8th - The Bulldogs would get a run in off of Thomas Troy's single (12-9) but the Pacers would immediately respond as
Alec Seaton's sacrifice fly would bring home
Garrett Pannell (13-9).
9th -
Warren Gay would close the game for the Pacers on the mound as they secured their second win over Dean College (13-9).

- Hunter Ward was 2 for 3 at the plate with 3 RBIs.
